Parochial Vicar
Fr. Elias is the youngest of six siblings born in Nyamitanga Parish, Mbarara Archdiocese in Uganda. He grew up in a Catholic home walking around five miles to Church every Sunday and attended a Catholic school. After his primary education, he went to a boarding school (St. John Fisher - Ibanda) for his secondary education, where he started the experience of being away from home for a long time.
He went to a high school seminary (Bukinda Seminary) run by the Apostles of Jesus Missionaries and then joined St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary (Katigondo) for college where he studied Philosophy and Social Sciences, and later joined the Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi Kenya for theology, after which he dropped out of the Seminary for personal reasons.
He worked in different areas ranging from refugees’ services, environmental protection, and hospital management. After several years working as a medical social worker for a Catholic hospital, he applied to join the Archdiocese of Cincinnati to come back to the seminary through a friend who had come to Uganda with the Missionaries of the New Evangelization.
He was admitted to the Athenaeum of Ohio and continued his priestly formation. He spent four years at the Athenaeum of Ohio/Mt. St. Mary’s of the West for a master’s in theology and divinity and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati in May 2019.

His career includes military service, owning his own business, and employment at Corpus Christi until his retirement in 2011. But Deacon John is still very active in the Parish, involved in many capacities. And he is always busy with Deaconate duties for Liturgies, Funerals, and other functions.

He and his wife Debbie were married here at Corpus Christi in 1977, and have been blessed with three sons and several grandchildren. Deacon Larry oversees the Adult Faith Formation Program, and Pastoral Ministry (such as visits to homebound parishioners).
Music & Liturgy
When you attend a Mass or Prayer Service, Bill is the person at the piano or organ. Bill's musical experience first brought him to work at Corpus Christi in 1985, and then back again in 2009 after living out of state for several years. He is very grateful for our many talented music ministers who help to lead and inspire our Assembly. He counts, among his many blessings, his wife Jackie and their three adult children.
