Youth Group Room

Welcome to our youth ministry program!  Together, we grow in our love and relationship with the Lord through experiences of prayer, catechesis, and community, having plenty of fun along the way!  Youth ministry serves all youth in grades 7-12, so you're always welcome to join us, and bring your friends!

Use the links to the left to explore what our youth ministry program has to offer, or continue reading below.  If you want to get involved, simply join us for our next activity or program!  If you would like more information regarding our programs, or are an adult seeking to volunteer with youth in our parish, contact PJ Ehling at (513) 825-0618 or by e-mail.

Is youth ministry for me?

Yes!  Youth ministry is for everyone, because everyone needs Jesus, Catholic or otherwise.  If we're honest with ourselves, we're all broken, we're all searching for direction, and we're all wondering what the meaning of life is.  Youth ministry exists to help you navigate the big questions in life alongside youth and leaders searching for the same answers.  Through Jesus' coming and teaching, and His death and resurrection, we can understand who God created us to be, the reason we exist, and our role in God's plan of salvation for the world.

What does a typical day in youth ministry look like?

The most important part of youth ministry is that you will never leave without some sort of spiritual experience or knowledge that can help you grow in your relationship with God, or understand those big questions in life.  And one of the best parts is that you get to do it while having fun with your peers and being part of a community that's there for you.

Typically we spend about half of our time together playing games or engaging in team-building activities, strengthening our friendships and community.  The other half of our time is devoted to a spiritual lesson or discussion, and an experience of prayer through Scripture, adoration of the Eucharist, or some other prayer based on the rich tradition of the Church.

Are you taking any precautions regarding COVID-19?

Yes we are, in accord with all parish organizations and other parishes within our Archdiocese.  We're currently meeting digitally only, which involves Zoom meetings and the resources found on this website.  To get involved in Digital Youth Ministry, just contact PJ Ehling for more information.

When we meet in-person, we are following guidance from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and the State of Ohio.  We maintain 6 feet of social distance, and wear masks while indoors.  Activities are planned with social distancing in mind.  We encourage everyone to bring their own water bottle, use the restroom before coming, and sanitize their hands upon joining us.  Leaders will sanitize critical areas in the room where we meet before and after our meeting.  Our lessons will be live-streamed or posted in a video for those who can't make it to youth ministry.  Our precautions are in line with precautions being implemented in all parish ministries and activities.
