Questions about Corpus Christi Youth Ministry

Have questions about our youth ministry programs?  Contact our youth minister, PJ Ehling, for more information.

Who can come to youth ministry?

All youth are welcome to come to youth ministry!  The Church exists to share the gospel with all people, so our programs will never exclude anyone because they're from another church, religion, aren't sure about religion, or don't believe in God at all.

Youth ministry programs are open to youth in grades 7-12.  We encourage you to invite your friends, too!

How can I get involved with Digital Youth Ministry?

As we deal with the coronavirus pandemic, many of Corpus Christi's programs are going online in light of the upcoming Christmas celebration.  Most of our resources are available on this website, so feel free to check out our videos and other media.  If you'd like to join us for Zoom meetings, or when we resume in-person meetings next year, just contact PJ Ehling!

What do we do in youth ministry?

Youth ministry is first and foremost about growing in our relationship with God, and through it living out our vocation in the Church and the world.  So the most important parts of youth ministry are our experiences of prayer and discussions and lessons regarding Catholicism.

But youth ministry is also about supporting each other on our journeys of faith.  Being a Catholic isn't easy - as Jesus said, "Be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect" - and on top of that, we face a lot of pressure to change our beliefs from the wider culture.  So we have fun together, grow in friendship, and walk with each other as we grow in our relationships with God.

When youth ministry is online, the focus remains the same:  together, growing closer to God through prayer that helps us understand who we were created to be.  So we'll stay connected though Zoom calls, and also make use of the digital resources on this website to continue to foster our relationship with God.

When is youth ministry?

Our regular youth ministry meetings are 7:00-8:30 on Wednesday nights.  If we're not meeting in-person because of coronavirus, we'll meet via Zoom.  If you'd like to join our Zoom meetings, just contact PJ Ehling.

What precautions are you taking regarding COVID-19?

Because of the current pandemic, we are following the guidance of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and State of Ohio.  During all in-person events, we are maintaining 6 feet of social distance, and wearing masks while indoors.  Activities are planned with social distancing in mind.  We encourage everyone to bring their own water bottle, use the restroom before coming, and sanitize their hands upon joining us.  Leaders will sanitize critical areas in the room where we meet before and after our meeting.  Our lessons will be live-streamed or posted in a video for those who can't make it to youth ministry.  Our precautions are in line with precautions being implemented in all parish ministries and activities.

How do I find more information about a program or event, or a permission slip?

Just contact our youth ministry office at (513) 825-0618, or by e-mail.  Permission slips will also be available here.
